Greetings from the Director of the Center for International Relations

Muroran Institute of Technology is a national university corporation of science and technology located in Hokkaido, Japan.

The Center for International Relations was established to promote the internationalization of Muroran Institute of Technology and to support the international activities of the entire university, and is responsible for

(1) Matters related to international exchange programs.

(2) Matters related to international students

(3) Matters related to foreign researchers

(4) Matters related to sending students abroad

(5) Other matters related to international exchange and foreign students

The Center’s duties include the following

The center provides Japanese language education for international students, tours of industrial facilities and factories, and opportunities to become familiar with nature, and has a large number of international students enrolled. (As of May 1, 2022, there are 14 students from 188 countries)

We hope that the Center for International Relations will contribute to the internationalization of Muroran Institute of Technology.
