授業のねらい
／Learning Objectives		 さまざまな工学系論文の精読を通して、独特な日本語論文の言い回しを学び、学術目的の日本語力を伸ばします。また学術文章に使われる日本語の語彙や表現を学び、コンパクトにレビューとしてまとめる力を養成します。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
This course is designed for international postgraduate students to develop Japanese reading and writing skills. Students engage in writing a review of academic articles science magazine and/or research papers.

／Outcomes Measured By:		 １．学術論文における日本語によく使われる表現を理解し、適切に使えるようになる。
２．日本語論文の書き方を理解する。
1. Understanding of typical phrases and connectives used in Japanese thesis writing.
2. Understanding how to write Japanese thesis and research papers.

／Course Schedule		 授業は、下記の順で進めるが、受講者の関心や専門性の他、所持する日本語力より、順番や内容が変わる可能性がある。
This course will be conducted as below, but the order and content may be changed depending on participants' Japanese level, interests, and majors.

※本科目は講義科目です。各回の学修時間の目安は、事前・事後合わせて２時間必要です。You need to study at home by yourself for at least over 2 hours as self-study including homework and assignment.
教科書・参考書に関する備考 授業で教材を配付する。
No textbook. Handouts and materials are distributed in the class.
成績評価方法
／Grading Guidelines		 JLPT N1を所持している者には原則として評点90点で評価する。授業への出席参加と課題作文により90点を超える評点とし、100点の評価を行うこともある。100点満点中60点以上を合格とする。
Students who have already had JLPT N1 will be evaluated as 90 points. If they attend each lesson and submit the final assignment, they will be evaluated as 90-100 points.  A grade of more than 60 is accepted for a credit.
履修上の注意
／Notices		 本授業は、10月入学のM1学生を主な受講対象とします。半年前に入学した4月入学のM1学生で一定の条件(JLPT N1取得済)の者は受講免除とします。但し、評点90点以上を望む学生は、80％以上の出席が必要です。もちろん、日本語力を付けたい学生は誰でも授業参加を歓迎します。

本科目は、2025年4月より、JLPT N1を所持する学生だけが受講できる科目として変更されています。N2以下の学生が受講したい場合は、受講前に相談が必要となります。担当教員までメールでご連絡下さい。 ( onomasa@muroran-it.ac.jp )

This course will be mainly for M1 students who were newly enrolled this October. M1 students who were enrolled last April with the score of JLPT N1 do not have to attend to the classroom. Of course, anyone who would like to improve his/her Japanese skills are welcome to the class.

This course is changed at the beginning of April 2025 due to Japanese curriculum reorganization, and then only students who have already had JLPT N1 can take this class. If students who do not have JLPT N1 would like to take this class, please ask the instructor in advance and email him.

／Message from Lecturer		 今年4月入学以前の入学者でJLPT N1を所持している学生は、一定の条件により受講免除ができます。詳細は初回授業で説明します。
Students who were enrolled last April or before and who have already had the language proficiency of JLPT N1 do not have to attend each lesson in the classroom. For more information, the instructor will tell you at the first lesson.
