授業のねらい /Learning Objectives |
The Logical Thinking course is designed to provide basic understanding of logical thinking. Students are expected to maintain skills to analyze a situation or problem using reason and coming up with potential solutions. Students are encouraged to gather all the information they can, assess the facts, and then methodically decide the best way to move forward. Logical thinking is an essential tool in the workplace to help analyze problems, brainstorm ideas, and find answers. |

(1)Students can explain the importance of logical thinking in decision making and understanding phenomenon (2)Students can utilizes logical thinking tools to improve critical thinking skills. (3)Students can identify and avoid pitfalls of logical thinking fallacies. (4)Students consider the diversity of thinking and opinions of other people when delivering arguments. (5)Studnets can employ logical thinking skills by considering the needs and perspective of wider stakeholders in order to aid better ethical decision making. (6)Students are able to clearly communicate evidence to support their arguments orally o in written form |

1. Introduction. 2 Basics of logical thinking and critical thinking 3 Problem breakdown 4 Questioning 5 Analytical approach 6 Presentation/writing and feedbacks 7 Conclusion For each 90 minutes class, students are expected to undertake an additional 4 hours of self study. |

成績評価方法 /Grading Guidelines |
Attendance, performance in group works (discussions and presentations) 50% Essay/report 50%. A grade of more than 60 is accepted for a credit. |
