授業のねらい /Learning Objectives |
The lecture addresses propulsion, turbopumps, and related thermofluidic issues, which are key components in aerospace propulsion systems. It covers the following topics: (1) Thermofluidic characteristics and design methodologies of propulsion systems and turbopumps. (2) Thermofluidic issues including cavitation. (3) Numerical analysis methods for thermal-fluid flow. (4) Future prospects. |

(1) Understand the fundamentals of thermofluidic phenomena related to propulsion systems, turbopumps, and compressors. (2) Gain an understanding of the issues and latest research trends related to the above and develop the groundwork for proposing novel research. |
授業計画 /Course Schedule |
(1) Case studies in the development of turbopumps and propulsion systems. (2) Fundamentals of thermal-fluid dynamics related to propulsion systems. (3) Fundamentals of thermal-fluid dynamics related to turbopumps. (4) Case studies of thermal-fluid problems related to propulsion systems. (5) Case studies of thermal-fluid problems related to turbopumps. (6) Case studies in the development of propulsion systems and turbopumps. (7) Thermal-fluid analysis techniques related to propulsion systems and turbopumps. (8) Latest trends and future directions in propulsion systems and turbopumps. Efforts should be made to deepen understanding by reading reference books and literature outside of class time. Total class hours: 12 hours The estimated study time for each session is approximately 4 hours, including pre- and post-class activities. |

Propulsion systems and turbomachinery are critical components in jet engines and rocket engine systems. The aim of this lecture is to acquire fundamental knowledge of thermal-fluid problems related to propulsion systems and turbomachinery, thereby deepening understanding of the entire system. |
