| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
この授業は日本語を初めて学ぶ人（未習者）か、少し学んだ人（初習者）が学ぶ入門・初級の日本語授業です。留学生が大学で生活する時に使う日本語を学びます。 This course aims to give an introductory and/or basic-level spoken Japanese to the international students who have little or no experience in learning Japanese. They will learn simple phrases and useful expressions for their college life. |

1. 日本語の音がわかり、ひらがなで書けます。 2. 学んだ単語や表現を聞き取れます。 3. 簡単な表現を使ったインターアクションができます。 1. Students will get used to Japanese sounds and be able to transcribe them in Hiragana. 2. Students will be able to catch the words and phrases they have ever learned. 3. Students will be able to interact with others by using simple Japanese expressions. |

Course schedule will be as follows: [Basic Japanese IA] Week 1-2: Greetings, Numbers, Time, & Hiragana Week 3-5: Noun-based sentences, Demonstratives Week 6-8: Verb-based sentences, National holidays Week 7-9: Adjectives I, existence Week 10: Double object Week 11-15: Adjectives II: comparatives, superlatives [Basic Japanese IB] Week 1-3: Review of IA Week 4-9: Verb forms: Vます, Vdic, Vて, Vない, Vた Week 10-13: Plain forms, Noun modification, Conditional sentences① Week 14-15: Verb-based sentences: Giving and Receiving [Basic Japanese II] Week 1-3: Review of IB Week 4-6: Conjunctive sentences: condition, reason, & time Week 7-8: Verb forms: potential, volitional forms Week 9-12: Obligation, んです, そうです Week 13-15: Purpose, Making decisions, Giving advice, Preparation, Conjecture Total: 22.5hours If you have studied Japanese before, you can take a higher level class. | 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
期末にインタビューテストを実施します。そのテストで評価します。 100点満点中60点以上を合格です。 The grade is given on the performance in the course-end oral interview. A credit is given for 60 % and over. 新型コロナウイルス感染症の流行状況に伴い、学生への十分な周知のもと、成績評価方法は変更する可能性があります。 Due to the epidemic situation of COVID19, the evaluation method may be changed. In that case, I will explain to you properly. |

単位を修得するために、授業には80%以上の出席が必要です。つまり、全30回の授業のうち、24回以上の出席が必要です。 At least 80% of attendance is required. |
| 教員メッセージ ／Message from Lecturer |
教室内では日本語だけを使ってください。また、教室外でも日本に滞在中は、友人同士の会話でも、できるだけ日本語を使うようにし、日常的に訓練に励んでください。 You have to (try to) use only Japanese inside the classroom. And you should do your best to use Japanese as much as possible while you are staying in Japan, even when you communicate with your friends at campus. Then, your Japanese skills will be improved much faster. |
