| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This course introduces the linguistic situation of Sakhalin (a.k.a. Karafuto by the Japanese), with a focus on one of the indigenous languages. Located just north of Hokkaido, Sakhalin Island has historically been closely related to Hokkaido and can be considered a "neighbor". However, for various reasons, there is a psychological distance between those of us living in Hokkaido and Sakhalin. In particular, not much is known about the indigenous peoples. This course is expected to help students learn about the Sakhalin indigenous peoples and take a step forward in cross-cultural understanding. 本授業では、サハリン（樺太）の先住民言語を中心に、この島の言語状況を紹介する。サハリンは、北海道のすぐ北に位置し、歴史的にも北海道と深いかかわりのある「ご近所」といえる。しかし、さまざまな理由から、北海道に暮らす私たちとサハリンとの間には心理的な距離がある。特に、先住民についてはあまり知られていない。本授業をとおして、受講生たちがサハリン先住民の言語や文化に親しみ、異文化理解の一歩を進むことが期待される。 |

| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
The score of each student is evaluated by an End-term Assignment 50% (to evaluate Outcomes 1, 2, 3, and 4) and attendance attitudes 50% (to evaluate Outcomes 1, 2, 3, and 4). A score of 60 or above is required to pass this course. 期末課題50％（到達度目標1, 2, 3, 4）と受講態度50%（到達度目標1, 2, 3, 4）で評価する。100点満点中60点以上が合格点である。 * The evaluation method may be changed.
