| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This course aims to give the students the vocabulary and expressions needed to give a successful presentation in English. Coursework will include examples of presentations and various speaking activities which will enable students to learn and practice specific expressions and structures. The course will also cover presenting techniques, body language, visuals and audience interaction. By the end of the course students will be able to deliver a professional presentation on a subject of their choosing which will be used in assessing the student's final grade. |

総授業時間数（実時間）：22.5時間 week 1 - Introduction week 2 - Presentation styles and steps week 3 - Where things are - Numbers, units and measurements week 4 - Pair presentation week 5 - Defining things week 6 - To be passive or not to be passive - mini-presentation preparation week 7 - Mini-presentation week 8 - Introduction to poster - work on poster week 9 - Looking at differences and similarities - work on poster week 10 - Poster Presentation week 11 - Describing graphs and figures week 12 - Explaining probability - work on final presentation week 13 - work on presentation preparation weeks 14 and 15 - final presentations 新型コロナウイルス感染症の流行状況に伴い、学生への十分な周知のもと、授業計画・授業実施 方法は変更する可能性があります。 Due to the epidemic situation of COVID19, the plan and implementation method may be changed. | 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
In-class mini presentations are 40% and the final presentation is 60% of the grade. A grade of more than 60 is accepted for a credit. Students whose final presentation is unsatisfactory must redo the final presentation. Due to the epidemic situation of COVID19, the plan and implementation method may be changed. In that case, I will explain to you properly. |
