理工系英語のパラグラフライティングの基礎力向上を目指す。 This class aims to improve basic skills in paragraph writing focusing on scientific English. |

1. 理工系英語の文章の特徴を文法と語彙の面から理解すること。 2. 理工系英語テキストの論理構造を理解すること。 3. 与えられたトピックについてパラグラフライティングを実践できること。 1. To understand the grammatical and lexical characteristics of scientific papers. 2. To understand the structure of scientific papers. 3. To be able to practice paragraph writing on a given topic. |
| 授業計画 ／Course Schedule |
総授業時間数 22.5時間 Total hours: 22.5 第1週～第5週 授業の進め方、科学的なコミュニケーションについて、理工系論文入門 第6週～第10週 理工系英語テキストの論理構造を学ぶ 第11～第15週 実践編：トピック、キーワード等に従ってパラグラフライティングを行 う。 Week 1 - 5 Introduction, Scientific Communication, Introduction to Scientific Papers. Week 6 - 10 The Structure and Function of Scientific Papers. Week 11 - 15 Paragraph Writing according to a Given Topic and Keywords. 上記に加えて毎回作文問題を解くことによって必要な文法及び語法知識の再確認を行う。 In addition, review of English grammatical and vocabulary knowledge will be carried out by answering questions for composition. |

教科書・参考書は使用せず、その都度プリントを配布する。 No textbook. Handouts will be provided in every class. |
| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
課題50%、最終レポート50%で評価する。100点満点中60点以上が合格点である。 The score of each student is evaluated by assignments (50%) and a report (50%). A grade of more than 60 is accepted for a credit. 到達度目標1～3は、課題と最終レポートで評価する。 Goals 1 - 3 are evaluated by assignments and a report. |

不合格者は再履修しなければならない。 Students who failed in the class have to re-take the class. 事前登録が必須である。詳細は掲示板を見ること。 Pre-registration is necessary. See the bulletin board for details. |
