| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This class aims to develop communicative competence in English through extensive practice in listening and speaking. Further aims of this class include development of sociolinguistic competence and intercultural communication skills. The prime objective is that students will improve their confidence in communicating in English. |

| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
Communicative events, listening quizzes, speaking testが50％、学期末試験が50％ の100点満点中６０点以上を合格点とする。到達度目標１,２,３は試験と speaking test, communicative events, listening quizzesで評価する. |
| 履修上の注意 ／Notices |
不認定者は再試験を受けなければならない。再試験で認定された場合、評点は60点である。 欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず3回までしか認めない。 4回以上欠席した者は再履修しなければならない。 正当な理由なく5分以上遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとなる。 欠席のカウントは授業初回から開始する。 （再履修生又は編入生で授業開始前までに所定の手続きによりクラス指定を受けなかった場合には初回が欠席となるので 注意すること。） 無断途中退室は欠席とする、止むを得ない事情で退室する場合は教員に声をかけること。途中退室が長引いた場合（目安１０分）は授業終了後に事情を説明すること、十分な説明がなければ欠席扱いとする。 不正（翻訳サイト使用等）防止のため、許可無く授業中にスマートフォン等を机上に置くことは禁止とする。置いていた場合には、その日の課題・小テスト・評価を無効とする場合がある。 ※一年生に配布する「手引き」に英語科目履修上の注意と題して、遅刻・欠席も含めた注意事項を盛り込む |

This is a communication class, thus students will participate in a variety of activities in pairs and/or groups. Students will also take listening quizzes, outside of class, which will count for part of their final grade. |
