| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This class aims to develop communicative competence in English through extensive practice in listening and speaking. Further aims of this class include development of sociolinguistic competence and intercultural communication skills. The prime objective is that students will improve their confidence in communicating in English. |

総授業時間数（実時間）：22.5時間 Week 1 All about me and you: Introduction to the course plus greetings and common phrases used in the classroom. Week 2 Everyday life and free time Week 3 Talking about places Week 4 What can we do around here? Week 5 We had fun - the past Week 6 Planning a trip: Week 7 Review and introduction to the speaking test Week 8 Comparing lifestyles Week 9 Cultural rules Week 10 Talking about multiple past actions Week 11 Experiences Week 12 Food Week 13 That was then ...: Week 14 Review and speaking exam Week 15 Final exam. （海外の学生たちとの交流があるのでその学生たちとあわせるために上記の日程変更が若干変更する場合があります。） オンラインコミュニケーション課題と小テストを毎回課します。完成しないと合格できません。 |

| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
Communicative events, worksheets,と小テストが50％、学期末試験が50％(Speaking test含む) の100点満点中６０点以上を合格点とする。到達度目標１,２,３は試験と小テストとworksheets, speaking test, communicative eventsで評価する. |
| 履修上の注意 ／Notices |
不認定者は再試験を受けなければならない。再試験で認定された場合、評点は60点である。 欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず3回までしか認めない。4回以上欠席した者は再履修しなければならない。正当な理由なく5分以上遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとなる。 欠席のカウントは授業初回から開始する。（再履修生又は編入生で授業開始前までに所定の手続きによりクラス指定を受けなかった場合には初回が欠席となるので注意すること。） |

授業一環としてそして宿題でもやらなければならない、非ネイティヴスピーカーと国際的なオンライン交流をする。授業で勉強した英語を活用して、海外にいる学生と実践的なコミュニケーションをする。多文化理解にも繋がる、コミュニケーション能力を発達させる。 |
