| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
The course treats the activities and songs of the Beatles from 1958 to 1966. Following the first half of their career, we will reach a deep understanding of what the music of the group means and why it attracts a lot of people. バンド結成から1966年のサンフランシスコでの最後のコンサートまで、ビートルズの前半の足跡をたどりながら、その音楽のメッセージや魅力等を、発表当時の社会情勢を参照しながら解き明かしていく。 |

| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
The score of each student is evaluated by a short assignment in every class, 50%, and a quarter-end assignment, 50%. A grade of more than 60 is accepted for a credit. Goals 1-3 are evaluated by all the assignments. 成績は授業ごとの課題50%、期末の課題50%によって評価される。60点以上で単位は認定される。 |
