(subject to change)
This course meets once a week in the 1st and 2nd quarters.
The students should attend the class well prepared and review the lectures.
教科書・参考書に関する備考 The lectures will broaden the coverage of several textbooks and provide the latest scientific, engineering and technical information with the class note as well as handouts. No textbook is listed as a complete reference for this course. To access to the e-journals on the university library site and to read the papers will be strongly recommended.
成績評価方法
/Grading Guidelines
- One report (term paper) in English (less than five A4 pages including a cover sheet, figures, tables, and references). The report should be typed and turned in on the appointed date (period) by a pdf or doc(x) file attached email. The topics of the report should be chosen from your other fields; namely, students in Mechanical Engineering Course should select one of the topics provided by Robotics Course, and vice versa. Review the topics, express your thoughts, and acknowledge carefully the sources.
- Students who obtain a 60% + average over the reporting assignment pass the course (no resit). The assignment will be assessed as follows: Structure, accuracy, clarity of communication, effective use of figures and tables, application of material and references, and your own analysis and interpretation.
履修上の注意
/Notices
Attend every class on time. Meet the deadline for the assignment. A lecture cancellation and change will be posted on the bulletin board of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Course or announced in the classroom.
教員メッセージ
/Message from Lecturer
- International students should contact the lecturer prior to the course.
- Preparation and review are expected, including homework and assignments. A part may be replaced with a special lecture and an intensive course. A class may include exchange of opinions, group work, and debate.
