| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This course aims at giving students the basic language and confidence required to communicate orally in a variety of everyday situations. In class students will participate in exchanges where English is used. Extensive listening exercises will also be included. |

総授業時間数（実時間）：22.5時間 Week 1 All about me and you: Introduction to the course plus greetings and common phrases used in the classroom. Week 2 Everyday life and free time Week 3 Talking about places Week 4 What can we do around here? Week 5 We had fun - the past Week 6 Planning a trip: Week 7 Review and introduction to the speaking test Week 8 Comparing lifestyles Week 9 Cultural rules Week 10 Talking about multiple past actions Week 11 Experiences Week 12 Food Week 13 That was then ...: Week 14 Review and speaking exam Week 15 Final exam. （海外の学生たちとの交流があるのでその学生たちとあわせるために上記の日程変更が若干変更する場合があります。） オンラインコミュニケーション課題と小テストを毎回課します。完成しないと合格できません。 |

| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
期末定期試験50％(の内５割は会話の試験、残りの5割はリスニング、単語、文法のオンライン小テスト）、学期中の小テスト20％とインタネット上課題30％によって評価し、１００点満点中６０点以上を合格とする。 単語習得しているかどうか評価方法は小テストや定期試験で穴埋め問題、多肢選択問題、組み合わせ問題等により評価します。 リスニングを評価する方法は音声ファイルを聞いてから小テストや定期試験で穴埋め問題、多肢選択問題、組み合わせ問題等により評価します。 到達度目標1はコミュニケーション能力ですので評価する方法は会話の試験で評価します。平均１分間あたりの話す単語数、正確さ、発音、そしてコミュニケーションを成立しているかどうか総合的に評価します。到達度目標2と3を評価するために上記を踏まえてインタネット課題で他国の学生とのコミュニケーションも同じように評価します。他国の学生とのコミュニケーションをしないとコース合格は非常に難しいので、積極的にして下さい。 |
| 履修上の注意 ／Notices |
不認定者は再試験を受けなければならない。再試験で認定された場合、評点は60点である。 欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず3回までしか認めない。4回以上欠席した者は再履修しなければならない。 正当な理由なく5分以上遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとなる。 欠席のカウントは授業初回から開始する。（再履修生又は編入生で授業開始前までに所定の手続きによりクラス指定を受けなかった場合には初回が欠席となるので注意すること。） |
