| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This course aims to give the students the vocabulary and expressions needed to give a successful presentation in English. Coursework will include examples of presentations and various listening and speaking activities that will help enable students to learn and practice specific expressions and structures. The course will also cover presenting techniques, body language, visuals and audience interaction. By the end of the course students will be able to deliver a professional presentation on a subject of their choosing which will be used in assessing the student's final grade. |

総学習時間数 22.5時間 Week 1: Introduction, making and using notes, intros Week 2: Getting Ready, Unit 1, 2nd intros Week 3: Unit 1, Self-Introductions Week 4: Unit 1 Week 5: Unit 1, Mini Presentation 1 Week 6: Unit 2 Week 7: Unit 2 Week 8: Unit 3, Mini Presentation 2 Week 9: Unit 3 Week 10: Unit 3 Week 11: Unit 5, Mini Presentation 3, Final Presentation Topics Week 12: Unit 5 Week 13: Final Presentation preparation Week 14: Final presentations (Group A) Week 15: Final presentations (Group B) 自己学習の確保を促すために毎週宿題があります。プレゼンテーションの復習、次回のクラスのための予習もあります。 To encourage effective self-learning, homework will be assigned each week. In addition, review activites and tasks required in preparation for subsequent classes will also be assigned. |

課題、受業での口頭プレゼンテーション発表等50%、 学期末口頭プレゼンテーション発表50％の割合で評価する。１００点満点中６０点以上を合格とする。 This course will be assessed as follows: 1: A weekly assessment based on class work and/or mini presentations (50%). 2: An end of term oral presentation (50%). Students need to achieve a grade of 60% or more in order to pass. |
| 履修上の注意 ／Notices |
欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず3回までしか認めない。『学生便覧』に載っている欠席届を教務課に提出すること。4回以上欠席した者は再履習しなければならない。正当な理由なく遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとなる。 不合格者は再履修になります。 Irrespective of the reason, only 3 absences from class are accepted. An absence form (as detailed in the Student Handbook) must be submitted to the Education section for each absence. If the student is absent from 4 or more classes, he or she will have to repeat the entire course. Students who are late for class without a legitimate reason will be marked absent. Students who fail the course will have to repeat the entire course. |

１．遅刻はしないこと。出席をとった後の入室は遅刻とみなす。 ２．原則として、授業開始後の途中退室は認めない。許可なく退室した者は、欠席とみなす。 ３．出席した以上、授業に参加することの意思表明をしたことになるので、積極的・協力的な姿勢で学習に臨んでもらいたい。 4. Each student will be required to prepare and give three (3) Mini Presentations and one (1) Final Presentation in front of other students in the class. |
