/Learning Objectives
Understanding the concept of statically determinate beams, and how to draw the section force diagrams and deflection of beams.

授業計画
/Course Schedule
1st week: Explain about determinate and indeterminate structures, loads and support types
2nd week: Section force diagrams of simply supported beam
3rd week: Section force diagrams of cantilever beam
4th week: Equilibrium equation of section forces
5th week: Concept of influence line and discussing how to draw the influence line diagrams for beams (1)
6th week: Concept if influence line and discussing how to draw the influence line diagrams for beams (2)
7th week: Section force diagrams of indirect load condition
8th week: Section force diagrams of Gerber’s beam
9th week: Bending stress of beam (1)
10th week: Bending stress of beam (2)
11th week: Differential equation of elastic line (1)
12th week: Differential equation of elastic line (2)
13th week: Analyzing the deflection of beam by using elastic load method (conjugate beam method) (1)
14th week: Analyzing the deflection of beam by using elastic load method (2)
15th week: Outline of deflection except for bending moment
