授業のねらい
/Learning Objectives
The objective of this unit is to understand thermodynamics cycle of air breathing engine, such as gas turbine and ramjet engine. Understand the properties and characteristics of engine components such as compressor, turbine and combustor. Finally, understand system integration technologies for gas turbine and air breathing engine.

1. Understand the thermodynamics of gas turbine and ramjet engine
2. Understand the designe concepts of engine components, such as compressor, turbine, combustor and rotordynamics elements. Moreover, understand system integration of gas turbine engine

/Course Schedule
The course schedule is described as follow
1. Fundamentals of aero-thermodynamics of air-breathing engine
2. Calculation of air breathing engine performance
3. Fundamentals of aero-thermodynamics and design procedure of compressor
4. Fundamentals of aero-thermodynamics and design procedure of turbine
5. Structural mechanics of compressor and turbine blade
6. Dynamics of Rotor-Bearing System
7. Combustor and Afterburner
8. Next Generation Air-Breathing Engine.
