| 授業のねらい ／Learning Objectives |
This class aims to develop communicative competence in English through extensive practice in listening and speaking. Further aims of this class include development of intercultural communication skills. |

総授業時間数は22.5時間 Week 1: Introduction to course and virtual exchange Week 2: English Central Week 3: Introducing your hometown Week 4: What can we do around here? Week 5: Describing food from your country Week 6: Cultural forums and reflection Week 7: Travel - airport Week 8: Travel - hotel Week 9: Travel ? restaurant phone reservation Week 10: Review Week 11: Directions Week 12: At the ticket office Week 13: Phone calls Week 14: Review for final exam Week 15: Final Exam （海外の学生たちとの交流があるのでその学生たちとあわせるために上記の日程変更が若干変更する場合があります。） 毎回宿題EnglishCentral |

| 成績評価方法 ／Grading Guidelines |
Exam（学期末試験）が50%の100点満点で評価。100点満点中60点以上を合格とする。到達度目標１,２,３はexamとvirtual exchangeとEnglish Centralで評価する. |
| 履修上の注意 ／Notices |
不認定者は再試験を受けなければならない。再試験で認定された場合、評点は60点である。 欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず3回までしか認めない。 4回以上欠席した者は再履修しなければならない。 正当な理由なく5分以上遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとなる。 欠席のカウントは授業初回から開始する。（再履修生又は編入生で授業開始前までに所定の手続きによりクラス指定を受けなかった場合には初回が欠席となるので注意すること。） |
| 教員メッセージ ／Message from Lecturer |
Role-plays and communication tasks will enable practise and display of listening, and speaking skills in English for common situations which students will find useful for their future in an increasingly globalized world. Virtual exchange with students from other schools will expand student networks and international exchange experience along with their reading and writing skills for communication. |
