授業のねらい Learning Objectives	This class aims to develop communicative competence in English through extensive practice in listening and speaking. Further aims of this class include development of intercultural communication skills.
到達度目標 Outcomes Measured By:	1. Establish confidence and basic competence in communicating in English. 2. To gain practical experience using English appropriately in a variety of situations. 3. To gain greater cultural competence in using English.

教科書・参考書に関する備考	Students will also use the online video site ‘English Central’ to improve pronunciation and vocabulary knowledge through self-chosen videos.
成績評価方法 Grading Guidelines	Assignments (課題) が50%, Final Exam（学期末試験）が50%の100点満点で評価。 100点満点中60点以上を合格とする。到達度目標１，２，３はexamとvirtual exchangeとEnglish Central で評価する. 不認定の者は再試験を受けなければならない。再試験で認定された場合,評点は60点とする。
履修上の注意 Please Note	不認定者は再試験を受けなければならない。再試験で認定された場合、評点は60点である。 欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず3回までしか認めない。 4回以上欠席した者は再履修しなければならない。 正当な理由なく5分以上遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとなる。 欠席のカウントは授業初回から開始する。 （再履修生又は編入生で授業開始前までに所定の手続きによりクラス指定を受けなかった場合には初回が欠席となるので注意すること。）
教員メッセージ Message from Lecturer	Role-plays and communication tasks will enable practise and display of listening, and speaking skills in English for common situations which students will find useful for their future in an increasingly globalized world. Virtual exchange with students from other schools will expand student networks and international exchange experience along with their reading and writing skills for communication.
