授業のねらい Learning Objectives	膨大なデータの中からユーザに適した情報を抽出する技術は、情報工学分野における重要なテーマとなっている。本講義では、ユーザの意図、関心、嗜好に合った情報を提供することを目的とした「情報検索システム」と「情報推薦システム」に関する基本原理と応用技術について論ずる。 Information extraction from large-scale database is a key issue in the field of information engineering. This course provides fundamental knowledge and practical technologies concerning information retrieval systems and recommender systems.
到達度目標 Outcomes Measured By:	1. 情報検索システムおよび情報推薦システムの基本原理を説明できる。 2. 基本的な検索/推薦モデルを用いてシステムを構築し、性能評価を行うことができる。 1. Understanding the basic principles of information/recommender systems 2. Implementing basic retrieval/recommendation models and evaluating the performances on those systems.
授業計画 Course Schedule	1週目： 本講義受講における注意事項の説明 (Introduction of this lecture) 2週目： 情報検索システムの構成 (The component technologies of information retrieval systems) 3週目： 全文検索モデル (Full text search model) 4週目： 内容型検索モデル (Content-based retrieval model) 5週目： リンク構造モデル(Link structure model) 6週目： 性能評価方法、様々な検索システム (Performance evaluation, Existing retrieval systems) 7週目： 情報推薦システムの構成 (The component technologies of recommender systems) 8週目： コンテンツに基づくフィルタリング (Content-based filtering) 9週目： 協調フィルタリング (Collaborative filtering) 10週目： 嗜好抽出技術（ユーザプロファイリング） (User profiling techniques) 11週目： 性能評価方法、様々な推薦システム (Performance evaluation, Existing recommender systems) 12週目： 最近の研究動向（１） (Recent research trends 1, Presentation) 13週目： 最近の研究動向（２） (Recent research trends 2, Presentation) 14週目： 最近の研究動向（３） (Recent research trends 3, Presentation) 15週目： 最近の研究動向（４） (Recent research trends 4, Presentation)

成績評価方法 Grading Guidelines	プレゼンテーション（50点）とレポート（50点）で評価する。 プレゼンテーションを行わなかった者、提出期限までにレポートの提出が無い者は、成績評価の対象とせず不合格とする． 合計点数が60点以上を合格とする． Evaluation is based on two presentations (50%) and two reports (50%). A score of 60% or better is required to pass this course.
