授業のねらい Learning Objectives	文化間の摩擦を生み出す背景を探りながら、自他の文化の相対化と感情に左右されない冷静な複眼的視点の獲得を目指す。 While looking at the underlying reasons for conflicts between cultures, we will try to take multilayered perspectives looking at the relativity of one's own as well as the other's culture without being overwhelmed by emotions.
到達度目標 Outcomes Measured By:	ディスカッションやロールプレイ、時にはシミュレーションといった方法を用いながら、最近の経済事例に取り組むことで、 − 文化の意味とその由来。 − 文化とコミュニケーションの結びつき。 − ステレオタイプの成立理由とそれがもたらすもの。 − 異文化間の交流において起こり得ること。その際の対処方法。 等に関する認識を深め、文化間コミュニケーションの知識・能力を身につけてもらうことが本授業の目標とするところである。 Using discussions, role-play, simulations etc, and looking at recent examples of the economic world we will look at the following: - What is culture and where does it come from? - The link between culture and communication. - The reason for the forming of stereotypes and what they engender. - What can happen in intercultural exchange and how to deal with it. A deepened awareness of the above, knowledge about and the ability of intercultural communication are the main goal of this course.
授業計画 Course Schedule	1.授業の概要説明。文化間コミュニケーションの知識に関するセルフテスト。 Explanation of the outline of the course will be given. Students will do a self test on their knowledge about intercultural communication matters. 2.文化とは一体何なのか？　ハイカルチャーと社会環境。閉じられた文化と開かれた文化。形作られたものとしての「文化」の意識化。異文化コミュニケーションの「異」に内包される問題。自己認識。 What is culture? High culture and social surrounding / closed culture and open culture. Raising awareness about culture as communication and man-made. Problems of the ‘異‘　in the Japanese term ‘異文化’of intercultural communication. Keyword: self-awareness. 3.コミュニケーションとは何か？　それは単なる情報交換あるいはキャッチボールに類したものなのか？　コミュニケーションの6種類のコンステレーションとその様々な方法。 What is communication? Is this simply an exchange of information or a kind of catch-ball or rather something else? We will look at the six types of constellation in communication as well as at the various methods of these. 4.コミュニケーションの無意識的非言語的形態の例。 Examples of the non-conscious aspects of the non-verbal parts of communication will be examined. 5.我々の無意識的行動に見られる文化の束縛。認識の機能。「価値」について。 The cultural constraints of our unconscious behavior patterns / The function of awareness / About ‘values’. 6.パーセプタとコンセプタ。文化は我々にどう認識され、どう説明されるのか。我々に見えるものと見えないもの。 How do we recognize culture, how do we explain it? The visible and invisible aspects of culture will be analyzed. 7.集団の記憶とその機能。コミュニケーションの所産としての文化。その文化の形成について。 Collective memory and its function / Communication as culture / The making of culture. 8.未知の人やものとの付き合い方。自己イメージ − 他者イメージ − メタイメージ。 How humans deal with the unknown and with other people. Self image - image of the other - meta-image. 9.カテゴリー − ステレオタイプ − 偏見 − 差別。我々の中にあるステレオタイプと偏見が浮かび上がらせるものとは。 Category ? stereotype ? prejudice ? discrimination. How to find out about stereotypes and prejudices within ourselves. 10.あいまいさの耐性とは何か。 How to deal with uncertainty. 11.ロールディスタンス、共感、メタコミュニケーション。 Role-distance / Empathy / Meta-communication. 12-13.幾つかの経済事例を検証しつつ、異文化間に生じる問題の解決の可能性を探る。 While analyzing several economic case studies, possible solutions for intercultural frictions will be sought after. 14.マルチカルチュラリズムとインターカルチュラリズム。あるいは並存から相互性、 ジンテーゼからシナジーへ。 Multiculturalism - interculturalism / Parallelism ? collaboration / Synthesis - synergy. 15.異文化コミュニケーション能力についてのまとめとセルフテスト。 Summary of the various competences in intercultural communication as well as a final self test.

成績評価方法 Grading Guidelines	授業への取り組み姿勢40点、提出されたレポートによる授業の理解度60点の割合で評価する。100点満点です。 Active participation in class count up to 40 points + the report at the end of the term which shows your understanding of the course content accounts for up to 60 points. Highest possible grade: 100 points. 60 points out of the total of 100 points are necessary to pass.
