1. In observing certain phenomena, all we can obtain are dynamic behaviors of those phenomena within the observation time, which are well described by using the fundamental ideas of differential and integral calculus. The first seven lectures of this course provide the review of the ideas of the differential and integral calculus studied previously, the concepts of complex functions and the fundamentals of complex integration, working as a bridge for an introduction to Fourier analyses.
2. In the subsequent lectures, the fundamentals of Fourier series and Fourier transformations, correlation functions, and power spectra are treated, and the physical meanings of the Fourier transformation in various phenomena are studied.

The aims of this course are as follows:
1. to understand the meanings of differential and integral calculus, and to be able to apply that idea to solve problems;
2. to be able to calculate fundamental complex integrations;
3. to be able to calculate Fourier series and Fourier transformations for fundamental functions;
4. to be able to explaine the physical meanings of the Fourier transformation;
5. to acquire a way to think about what are derived from the results obtained.
