理工系英語のパラグラフライティングの基礎力向上を目指す。 This class aims to improve basic skills in paragraph writing focusing on scientific English. |

授業計画 Course Schedule |
総授業時間数 22.5時間 第1週〜第5週 授業の進め方、科学的なコミュニケーションについて、理工系論文入門 第6週〜第10週 理工系英語テキストの理論構造を学ぶ、アブストラクトについて 第11週〜第15週 実践編: トピック、キーワード等に従ってパラグラフライティングを行う。 Total Hours: 22.5 Week 1 - 5 Intoroduction. Scientific communication. Intoroduction to scientific papers. Week 6 - 10 The structure and function of scientific papers. Week 11 - 15 Paragraph writing according to a given topic and keywords. |

成績評価方法 Grading Guidelines |
課題50%、最終レポート50%で評価する。 全体の評点が60%未満の場合、不合格（単位認定不可）とする。 |

欠席は理由の如何に拘らず、3回までしか認めない（4回以上欠席の者は不合格とする）。 不合格者は再履修しなければならない。 3 Absences may not exceed three times. |

漫然と受け身の姿勢で授業に臨んでいては、外国語はもちろんのこと日本語でも表現力を養うことは不可能である。自らの学問的関心に照らし合わせながら、いかにして英語を用いて自らの研究を公にすることができるか、常に問題意識を抱きながら授業に臨んでほしい。 |
