Learning Objectives
Soft matter is a group of organic materials, such as macromolecule, liquid crystals and biomolecules in which are deformable in the elastic regime. We first will treat on the structure and physical proprieties of soft matter in the nano-scale. Then we will describe detection methods, mainly magnetic resonance spectroscopy. In particular, advanced electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) methods, including continuous wave and pulsed EPR’s are treated in order to apply the soft matter system.
到達度目標
Outcomes Measured By:
1.Understanding how the soft matter systems can constitute and how they undergo the elastic deformation in nano-scale are necessary for the students.
2.The basic instrumentation of pulsed EPR spectroscopy, the most advanced experimental method for the structure elucidation in the nanometer-scale (10-9 m) is necessary.
