授業のねらい	This class aims to develop communicative competence in English through extensive practice in listening and speaking. Further aims of this class include development of sociolinguistic competence and intercultural communication skills. The prime objective is that students will improve their confidence in communicating in English.
到達度目標	The class will present a list of conversational strategies that every student needs to develop fluency in English. The strategies help students increase the length of their utterances and take longer turns in conversation.

参考書	Students may bring dictionaries to class.
成績評価方法	Assessment will be based on final exam and various speaking activities throughout the class. 100点満点で60点以上を合格とする。 Make-up exam available at the end of the semester with advanced notice and a good reason.
履修上の注意	欠席は理由の如何にかかわらず 3 回までしか認めない。4 回以上欠席の場合は、再履修しなければならない。
