Request for cooperation in thorough measures against re-expansion of COVID-19

Muroran City hit a record of 278 infected cases of COVID-19 for a week from March 27 to April 2. The number of infected cases on campus is also on the rise. We are facing a high risk of infection due to the increase in activities such as getting a job, going to school, doing extracurrilcular activities.

In response to highly infectious Omicron variants, we would like to request all of you to follow basic preventative measures such as wearing non-woven masks, disinfecting hands, and avoiding the Three Cs (Closed spaces, Crowded places and Close-contact settings) in accordance with the University’s Action Guideline for Avoiding COVID-19.

If you are not feeling well, please do not go out, and if you have symptoms of new coronavirus disease, please consult with a medical institution to contain the spread of infection.

In addition, MuroranIT is planning to conduct university-based COVID-19 booster vaccination (third time) on June 18, 19, 25, and 26, 2022. More detailed information will be announced soon.

We will continue to work on infection control measures in order to both activate educational and research activities and prevent the spread of infection.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
