BCP Level raised to 2 and request for cooperation in anti-infection measures

Dear Students, faculty and staff at MuroranIT,

Due to the new and highly contagious COVID-19 variants, the number of infected cases has been significantly increasing across Japan. In accordance with the Government’s declaration to include Hokkaido Prefecture in the areas of COVID-19 State of Emergency from August 25th, MuroranIT has decided to raise its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) from Level 1 to Level 2.

As most of the university’s activities face some restriction, we would like each and every one of you to continue joining our efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus by following the University’s Action Guideline for Avoiding COVID-19 and the Request from Hokkaido Prefecture.

In order to minimize the risk of infection and create an environment for education and research activities on campus, we start the university-based vaccination from Sept. 4th, 2021. The vaccination is expected to contribute to the decrease in the number of infected people, the reduction of the COVID-19 severity when infected and the creation of herd immunity effect, which will eventually lead to a return to the normal university life. Therefore, we would like as many people as possible to get the vaccination. If you wish to get vaccinated, please check the notice at Linkom or Campus Square and make a reservation as soon as possible in consideration of the limited number of vaccines.

As MuroranIT continues making every effort not only to ensure educational and research activities but also to strengthen anti-infection measures on campus, we ask for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
